Linear position sensor for paper machine

It is very difficult for paper and pulp producers to maintain their current margins, because of the strict regulations and the material costs that keep rising. The only way to reduce costs is to ensure that the paper machines do not fail. A paper machine produces every minute about 1,500 meters of paper with a width of 9 meters. Downtime due to a faulty machine is therefore very costly.
Vibration sensors are used for monitoring thus predictive maintenance, this sensor solution limits the failure of the machine. We also supply linear inductive sensors for determining the role position in the paper machine. Due to the high humidity and the high temperature, sensors in this branch must be IP68 classified. Our sensors comply with this, have a robust stainless steel housing and are highly resistant to vibrations.
