Analog multifunction inputs
The GL860 has an isolated input system which ensures that signals are not influenced by signal inputs on other channels. The multifunction inputs enable combined measurements of various measured variables such as voltage, temperature, humidity, logic and pulses.

4 channels for logic/pulse input
There are 4 channels available for logic and pulse input signals. In pulse mode, the following values can be measured for speed and flow rate: Counter, pulse/sample rate and revolutions per minute. Measuring range from 20 mV to 100 V.
- Temperature: Thermocouples: K, J, E, T, R, S, B, N, C, W
- Resistance thermometers: Pt100, JPt100, Pt1000 (only with B-565)
- Humidity: 0 ... 100 % rH (only with sensor B-530)
- Pulse: 4 channels (counter, pulse/scanning interval and revolutions per minute)
- Logic: 4 channels
- Channel extension to 200 channels
The standard version has 20 or 30 analog input channels. The number of input channels can be increased to a maximum of 200 channels by connecting optional expansion modules (B-566) and input terminal blocks (B-563, B-563SL, B-563SL-30 or B-565).

W-LAN option
The WLAN option enables wireless communication with other devices. If the GL860 is configured as a station, PCs and mobile devices can communicate directly with the data logger via WLAN.
Combination of GL100-WL and GL860
The GL100-WL data logger can be connected to the GL860 series data loggers via WLAN. The various measuring sensors of the GL100-WL extend the range of possible measurements. The measured value then appears in a file together with the measured values of the GL860. The GL860 retrieves the information directly from the GL100-WL.
Communication with PC or mobile devices
The GL860 data logger can be connected to a LAN network (Local Area Network) via a WLAN access point. The measurement data can be evaluated via the PC or mobile devices using the application software. The device can also be configured via the network.
