New GL260 midi logger from Graphtec

Graphtec is expected to launch a new version of the compact GL240 data logger in June 2024. The successor model with the designation GL260 is also a compact standalone data logger with 10 measurement channels. The GL260 also has an isolated input system, which ensures that signals are not influenced by signal inputs on other channels. The multifunctional inputs enable combined measurements of various measured variables such as voltage, temperature, humidity, logic and pulses.

What's new about the GL260 data logger?

The new functions include an alarm history function, a memory loop function and an extended calculation function. Compared to the previous model, the GL260 has improved the screen saturation and an easier-to-read font has been implemented. The menu structure has also been simplified. In terms of user-friendliness, the wave setting has been simplified, a fast web server function has been added and the QR help function has been improved.

Apart from the improvements mentioned, there will be no major mechanical or functional changes - so anyone who is used to using the previous model will be able to cope with the successor model GL260 straight away. The previous Graphtec accessories for the loggers can also be used with the new model without any problems.

Overall, the GL260's versatility, reliability and ease of use make it a popular choice for various applications where accurate data logging and analysis is required.

  • Versatility
The GL260 can detect a variety of signals, including voltage, temperature, current, humidity and more.
  • Large memory
The GL260 has a large capacity internal memory that allows it to record data over a long period of time, even if there is no continuous connection to an external storage device.
  • High resolution and accuracy
The GL260 offers high resolution and accuracy in data acquisition, making it particularly suitable for applications where precise measurements are required, such as in research and development..
  • Flexible connectivity
The GL260 offers various options for data transfer, including USB, Ethernet and wireless connections. This makes it easy to share and analyse data with other devices or systems.

The GL260 data logger is suitable for applications such as

  • Environmental monitoring
  • Process monitoring and control in industrial plants
  • Vehicle and fleet management
  • Energy monitoring and management in buildings and plants
  • Test and measurement data acquisition in research laboratories, production plants and test facilities
  • Building automation and management
  • Pharmaceutical and biotechnological production

The GL260 operates either connected to a PC or entirely stand-alone. Connection to a PC may be over a standard USB or optional wireless connection. Either connection approach may take advantage of supplied PC-side software to configure, acquire, display, and record digitized information for storage directly to the PC’s HDD. Acquired data may be retrieved for review and analysis after recording, including the ability to export to Microsoft Excel. Using the GL260’s wireless option enables the instrument’s networking features, allowing it to be remotely configured and managed using the standard Web browser of any computer or smart phone. The GL260 is provided with 4 GB of non-volatile memory embedded inside the instrument. The instrument supplies an external SD card slot for additional storage if needed.

Finally, the measurement reach of a wireless-enabled GL260 is further extended by use of the GL100 accessory. The GL100 wirelessly enables measurements of temperature/humidity, acceleration, CO2, illuminance, ac current, and more.
