Submersible MPM489W level transmitter
After researching various pressure sensor options on the market, the supplier of oil tanks decided to partner with us. At Althen we recommended the MPM489W Submersible Level Transmitter. Sensor. Accurate and stable liquid measurement
The MPM489W level transmitter is based on MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) technology, which enables accurate and stable liquid measurement with low power consumption and high resistance to shock and vibration. The sensor is also compliant with RoHS and ATEX (ATmosphères EXplosibles) regulations, which set safety and performance standards for equipment used in potentially explosive environments. In addition, the sensor is cost-effective, highly reliable, and extremely stable.
Integration and Althen services
To integrate the MPM489W Submersible Liquid Level Transmitter, Althen provided a customized solution that included a cable assembly and a connector with a special thread size and sealing to ensure tight and safe installation. The sensor housing protection is IP68, and the connection box protection IP65. At Althen we also assisted the customer in selecting the appropriate range and output signal for the sensor, based on the expected level range and the data acquisition systems used.
Once installed in the oil tanks, the intrinsically safe submersible level transmitter delivered accurate and reliable readings. The customer could remotely monitor liquid levels and set alarms for abnormal changes, thanks to the sensor's digital output and compatibility with various communication protocols.
Reliable readings even in the harshest conditions
Once the MPM489W Intrinsically Safe Submersible Level Transmitter was installed in the oil tanks, it provided accurate and reliable readings even in harshest conditions, such temperature variations, humidity, and mechanical stress. The customer was also able to monitor the liquid levels remotely and set alarms for abnormal changes, thanks to the sensor's digital output signal and compatibility with various communication protocols.
